Changing orbit

Tomorrow is World Jump Day! Science or performance art — you decide.

It's claimed that if 600 million people in the Western hemisphere jump simultaneously (11:39:13 GMT, July 20, 2006), Earth will be driven out of its current orbital rotation. "The change of planetary positioning would very likely stop global warming, extend daytime hours and create a more homogeneous climate."
